Jeff Jakob is a National Board Certified Teacher with a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois.   I have National Board Certification in Social Studies, am State certified in US History, World History, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, Government, Economics, and Spanish.  I also have two years experience teaching Reading/Language Arts and am HOUSSE certified.  After five successful years teaching middle school in Champaign, Illinois, I have relocated to the Southwest Suburbs and have openings for daily, weekly, or bi-weekly appointments starting in August 2009.

I specialize in Candidates in 5th-8th grade but services are open to students of all ages.  I offer:

•    Homework help in all subjects
•    Tutoring in all 5th-8th grade subjects, most 9th-12th subjects
•    Test Preparation / Test Taking Skills 
•    Editing essays, term papers, projects
•    Introductory through Spanish I instruction
•    Individualized curriculum created with a parent

Rates vary depending on travel time and number of lessons.  Base rate is $35.00 for a 30 minutes session, $60.00 for an hour session.  Cash payment preferred, online payment with credit/debit card accepted.  Ask about group rates and incentives for referrals.
